Welcome!!

So, this may be the longest post I've ever done...It certainly has the most pictures!!

I missed the first two weeks (Living, Kitchen) but I wanted to catch up...and since (as you may have read here before) we live in a tiny apartment right now...it just so happens that our living, dining and kitchen are basically one big room. For those that are new to my blog...I'm a newlywed and we made the decision that our first home would be a rental...and we are making this small sacrifice (though some days I would argue it is a HUGE one) so that we can buy our house when we are completely debt free.

Anyway...I'm also sharing the entry...just to fool you into thinking our place is bigger than it really is. Enjoy!!

This is the shelf in the entry...I'm not so good with shelves...so I just throw a bunch of stuff up there. This is replicated a few more times in the apartment....we'll just call it a style, K? The crystal is all from wedding gifts (or a gift from the hubs). I love the look of rustic metal with crystal. I'm sort of a worn out fancy girl....in more ways than one.

The entry looking toward the bathroom and bedroom...this is a teaser for the next few weeks. Good huh?

And this is standing by the shelf looking into the living room.

The couch. I heart the couch. As a newlywed...who is living with a boy for the first time...I'm just going to be honest and let you know that adjusting to sharing a bed with someone is not as easy as one would think. Not to mention...we are on totally different sleep schedules. Sometimes this couch=Tricia's bed.

My curtains. I sort of made them. They still need some tweaking, but I'm sort of lazy. The painting is one my grandmother did a year before I was born. I never knew that she painted, apparently, it was a phase. She passed away about a year and a half ago, and my Aunt gave this to me. Charlie framed it and I get a big smile on my face everytime I see it.

Charlie's chair. My sign. Sometimes I have to look at it when he is sitting in his chair. He drives me crazy like that sometimes. He is a boy, after all.

My teeny, tiny kitchen. It's ok though, it's just for looks.
You might not be able to see it, but the pink clip on front of the fridge has a ww motivational postcard and underneath that...a love note from the hubs. He isn't all bad.

The other "side" of the kitchen. Told ya, tiny.

Where I make spaghetti. That's about all that happens here...

Command central. I almost took all this down for the picture...but knew y'all wouldn't believe me.

My rug. Lovely. From Target, well and Mom.

Inside of pantry. My other grandmother is a CARD-SENDER. If she has met you...you will more than likely get a card on your birthday and/or anniversary. Every year she would get my Mom a calendar with all the dates filled in. I got one at my shower!!

My fancy plates. By fancy, I mean Target. We also have basic white plates. We are so not "china" people. We would break it (we=the hubs) and then we would freak out (we=me). In fact, C chipped one of the plain white plates just this week.

I bought this plaque thingy at Cracker Barrel a million years ago. It is SO heavy. I'm terrified it is going to fall off the wall. SO, we hung it above the patio door. We rarely use that door. Our chances of survival are relatively high should it fall.

The other shelves...in the "dining room". Told you I just throw stuff on the shelves.
The big picture on the top shelf is of me and my Dad. There is a picture of me and my step-dad on the middle shelf and a picture of me and my two living grandmothers from my shower next to that. Me and C are on the bottom shelf. Oh, and of course, I have an empty picture frame. I'm bad about that too.

Ok, now this is just sad. Let's just call it a work in progress. Who needs chairs when you have a couch and tv trays? The table was made (get ready) by the hubs. Well, we found the base, but the top of the old table was completely gone and the base needed some work. So he built the table for me!! I love it so much. You can't really tell, but the top is planks of wood...like an old wood floor...well that's what I asked for...and I think he did an amazing job. One day I might repay him with a really good cooked meal there. Or, ya know... some spaghetti.
In all seriousness...we have chairs...we are in the process of recovering the cushions...and they aren't in the apartment right now. Pics to come.

Oh...and in the interest of keeping it real...this is what the dining room floor looks like most of the time:

Where are you supposed to do your crafts? I'm pretty sure it drives C mad. He like things CLEAN and picked up (except...strangely enough, not so much on his side of the bedroom...what is up with that?). This is also the wall that we share with the OBNOXIOUS neighbors. Good times.

Ok. So if you are still reading. BRAVO!! If you want to check out my imaginary guest room, it is here. And..thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

You are too funny! Enjoy these newlywed days where you have time on your hands and....no mortgage! Debt free is awesome ! My hubby and I followed Dave Ramsey's plan many years ago and swear by it.

You mentioned having a WW quote on your fridge so I wanted to share that I also have a recipe blog (with WW recipes). Take a look and see if you can't find something you like (besides spagetti - ha!) @ www.heywhatscooking.blogspot.com.

Thanks for sharing your 'home'. Great to find someone who had dined at Texana Grill. A friend of ours helped tear it town and brought the sign home with him and as soon as I saw it, I told him 'sold'!
Your apartment is really cute.
Blessings always,

I love how you decorated your apartment. The foyer shelves look great. Good for you for waiting to get out of debt. I did not get comfortable sharing my bed with hubs till we got a king. After 5 years we moved home to my moms for 7 months. We had her queen and again I was uncomfortable. So happy to be in my own rental again with my king.
