Every year, I think I will do some sort of year in review post on the blog...but then I never do it. Turns out...it's a lot more work than you would think. Especially if you don't blog as much as you should.
I know I am probably forgetting lots of things (reason #1 I should blog more...or at least journal somewhere!)...but here are some of the things that happened in 2011!
January: My car wreck on the 6th. Lots of snow. The stockshow with Dalton. Superbowl sight-seeing at the stadium in my hometown. Lots of cuddling and trying to stay warm.
February: Still trying to recover from the wreck. Finalized insurance issues. Lots of days spent at home without a car (not that I wanted to drive!). Miranda Lambert in concert! Even more snow and ice.
March: Dalton started soccer. Kaleb's birthday party (birthday is in February). Play dates at moms. Got my new Jeep.

April: More soccer. Easter egg preparation. Meeting baby Elly (my cousin's baby girl) for the first time. Chilling at my grandparents celebrating their retirement and move closer to us. Ranger game!

May: Soccer party and trophy! School presentation. Lounging at the casa with Aslan. My birthday. Kaleb's hockey game. Teagan growing up so quick! Dalton and I hanging out one day making art.
June: Watching the Mavericks and the DBU Patriots baseball in their playoff games. Spending time with the kids at my moms. We got a new coffee table (from craigslist) and refinished it. Started walking a lot in the neighborhood behind us. Celebrated my mom's 50th birthday.
July: Fireworks. Charlie's birthday. Got a new exercise bike from my Aunt...Aslan and I fight over it! haha. Making art faces with Dalton. Fun Dalton date night at chuck e cheese. Uncle Charlie and Dalton built a Batman cave from boxes and construction paper (it even had a working elevator in it).
August: Teagan mastered climbing the tree at the McDonalds by our apartment. Lots of McDonalds play dates! Dalton started kindergarten! We started new tradition of a movie night the week before school starts! Cole's (my cousin...baby Elly's dad) birthday. Had Sprinkles cupcakes for the first time (I know!). Got my Erin Condren planner (LOVE!). Met Kensley (my other cousin's new baby). Lila and cousins in from Dubai.
September: Started planning D's superhero birthday. Drank green monster energy shakes...a lot. Watched the kiddos while my mom & stepdad were in New Orleans (and Megan was at work all weekend). Went to the grandparents land and the boys built a front porch on their house.
October: Dalton's 6th birthday and party! The new Kroger by our house FINALLY opened! Rangers in the World Series, again (went to take pictures of all the banners at the ballpark). Met my first blog friend, Ashley, for dinner. Lots of play time with Teags and Avery. Halloween party out at Randi's. Followed by the worst allergy/sinus ick ever (I don't do outdoors, apparently). The cutest SWAT and bumble bee kids I ever saw.
November: Met SEAN LEE (love love love). Our 3 year anniversary. Celbrated Pop's (my stepdad) birthday. Went to Hometown Holiday (Southlake) for the second year. Canton for the first time since January. Lake levels really low. Thanksgiving at C's followed by a day trip out to my grandparents to spend time with the family.
December: Totally getting into the Christmas spirit. Went to Parade of Lights in Midlothian (followed by tree-lighting). Teags 2nd birthday!Went to Interlochen (amazing Christmas light tour in my hometown). Went to the Gaylord Texan to check out all the Christmas decorations. Dalton's Christmas recital. Picture time at Gammaw's with her ginormous tree. :) Aslan constantly getting into our tree at home. My Meme had surgery, and fell two days later and broke her hip, thankfully...she is healing nicely! Christmas with C's family, my dad, my mom's (twice) and at my Aunt and Uncle. Rejoined WW (and down 5lbs already!). Spending lots of time chilling and enjoying family.
So, I'm sure I missed some really big things...but that is what I get for not being better about documenting things. Anyway...it was a good year. A lot more laid back than most years...partly by choice. There are a lot of things I really enjoyed about this year....but like always, there are a lot of things I wish I could change.
I'm going to focus on the things that I can change this next year...and hopefully...2012 will be even better than 2011!
