Of course, it's after midnight tonight and I'm doing laundry and answering emails (and watching Pinterest, naturally). Sometimes I feel it's a bit hopeless on the sleep schedule thing.
Anyway...I've been designing a bit this week. Got to work with some fun ladies and I'm proud of the designs we came up with.

| My friend, Hillary, and her new blog makeover. I love it when clients turn into friends!
Here is one I did for a new client. I love the colors. How cute is her family?
|
And, another previous client got a new look today! I love the colors in this one too. Pink and orange is one of my favorite combos!!
I also re-did my blog a few weeks ago, and though I constantly want to change things up around here (part of the reason I started blog designing in the first place!), I think I will keep this look for a while. Maybe. Ha.
I am still wanting to change up some of the navigation and links and stuff. I'm hoping to add some sponsor buttons and/or maybe trade buttons with other bloggers. I just need to get better about blogging regularly! I am doing better this month than any other this year...so I will celebrate that!!
I've also been doing some playing (though, designing is kind of like playing!). Tonight we went swimming at my Aunt's house. I thought it would be a good workout...because I just haven't been walking like I used to. It's too HAWWT. We've been going late at night...but it's still miserable. Anyway...Miss Teagan came with us and we had so much fun. She is totally not afraid of the water (Dalton is...so I just expected her to be...not so much!). I was holding her and she would just jump away from me. Great that she isn't afraid...but she can't swim...so she would get a gulp of water and start to go under water. It was so stressful for me! Ha.
So stinkin' cute. I can't handle it!
Such a diva!! Wonder where she got it from?
In the last few weeks, two new babies have been born in our family. Well, one's a family friend...but she might as well be family!
First, my cousin Britney (and her hubby Marko) had baby Miles earlier this month. We got to see him this past Tuesday. He's absolutely precious. So tiny!!
Last week, my step-dad's best friend's daughter (got that?) had her baby. We went to visit Kylie and baby Rilynn on Sunday. She is SO cute. She was giving my mom the stink eye though. Too funny!
Totally not helping my baby fever, by the way!
And..finally...if you've made it this far...a funny story. It's only funny because it's over...
We had a mouse in our apartment last week. I don't think words could express how disgusted I was. I mean....I'm lazy...yes...but I'm a clean person. I know that these things happen...especially when you live in apartments...but I was ready to pack up and move! Ha (maybe Teagan got the diva thing from me?).
Aslan was totally focused on the oven for like two days straight. I'm not sure if he ever ate or slept. He just laid right in front of it and wouldn't move. I would barely walk through there.
So, Monday night, I'm in the office and I hear all this commotion and the next thing I know Aslan comes running to me with (prepare yourselves) a tale hanging out his mouth. I could have died. I jumped up on my office chair (you know, the rocking, swivel type office chair...not smart) and then onto my desk. All while screaming, naturally. I guess he figured out I didn't like his present so he let him go and the thing went back under the oven. I was trying to convince Charlie to move overnight. Ha. I'm a whippin', I know.
So I do all this research, on how to get rid of a mouse, and the nicest way to ask a neighbor to kindly clean their apartment...and find out about sticky traps. We got those Tuesday night, set them out and said a little prayer.
I did some designing that night...so I shut my door (lest my cat caught his friend again). Again, around 1am I hear all this noise. I ask C through the door what's going on and he tells me Aslan is playing with the mouse.
Me: I'm just gonna keep my door shut because I don't need them coming in here.
C: Fine, I'm gonna try and catch him.
Me: K!
A couple of minutes pass. And then C knocks on my door.
C: I could use some help out here.
Me: Why? What' up?
C: I caught the mouse.
Me: Hooray!!!
C: And ...the cat.
Sure enough, the mouse is stuck to the trap, but so is my cat. And...he is flopping all over the apartment. I'm not sure what kind of help C thought I would be as my immediate reaction was to put on flip flops (clearly, they are protective shoes) and climb on the table (?), laugh and cry.
In the end (with absolutely no help from his wife) C got the cat unstuck and removed of the varmint. I've been looking at houses for sale the last two days (like houses are magically mouse free). The whole situation has been traumatic for me (sheltered, I know)...but I'm glad it's behind me.
Moral of story: sticky traps + prayer + amazing husband = success.

Love your recap and your designs are awesome!! Very chic and stylish!! I think there is a mouse or a rat in our garage-- I saw evidence but am too scared to go check it out further. I just walk on the opposite side of the area now. :)
Ahhhhh! Mice! Yikes!!! LOL. I'm sorry that I'm laughing - at least it's over! :)
