I'm posting...can you believe it? It's okay...I can't either.
I thought if I updated my blog it might get me out of the rut...and when I signed on, I noticed that I had lost several followers ... HAHAHA ... Can't say I blame them!!
I don't want to throw an online pity party (not that I'm above pity parties...I just prefer doing those solo)...but the last few months have been really hard. I have definitely not felt like myself for a while...and blogging, designing, shopping, reading, and pretty much everything that used to bring me joy...has not. Except eating...unfortunately...that seems to be a constant in my life. Ugh.
So...I've been in a bad place...yes. BUT...I am trying to dig myself out of it. The last few days have been a lot better and I'm hoping that is something that continues.
Anyway...I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas (LOL) and a good January 2013.
I didn't really make any resolutions for this year (shocking, I know) but I do have my 34 before 34 list and a new reading goal....so there's that.
Last year, I made a goal to read 52 books. I finished the year with 31. I was a little bummed to fall short of my goal...but I figure 2+ books a month is still a good thing. So...this year, I am shooting for 52 again. I'll do a post this week with an update on my progress and book reviews!
As for the 34 list....I've made some progress. Yay!

I finished my Christmas wreath the day before Christmas. But, hey...I got it done! I want to add some more to it before the holidays this year...but I think it turned out okay for my first attempt!
I whipped up a pretty simple Christmas Card the week before Christmas. Wasn't in love with it...at all. And...I only mailed like 5 of them. Everyone else got theirs if/when I saw them during the holidays. (lazy girl!) But...I did it...so I'm counting it!
And...I actually made a change to the list after I published it. There were only 2 Cowboys home games left...and I would have had to take out a small loan to get tickets for them...which, would have interfered with some of the other financial goals on the list. So I changed "go to Dallas Cowboys game" to "go to Dallas Mavericks game" and .... I KID YOU NOT ... the hubs won tickets to a game the next day!!!
It was cold and rainy and C really didn't want to drive to Dallas....so we rode the train. I have done public transportation in other places (Vegas, NYC, etc)...but we don't really have it here...especially in the suburbs. So...it was my first time to try and figure all that out (easy) and we decided we would do that from now on if we are going to any event at the AAC.
We had a blast at the game. Seriously...I'm not much of a basketball fan...until it matters (playoffs)....but going to a game is pretty exciting. And...really good for people watching!! We are hoping to go to several more this season.
We also went to the Stock Show last weekend...but didn't take Dalton. Hoping to squeeze that in one day this week. Can't break a tradition!!
Other than that...NOTHING else has been happening here. Lots of tv and naps and being in a funk. Looking forward to brighter days!
